Yes, very strange they put a second transformer mount on the other side. Maybe they made a mistake and decided to put it on the other side. I don't think it's for a future upgrade, because if they decided to add a rechargeable battery I think they would just put it in the existing battery compartment.

Interesting that the Muse claims 80 watts, but the Aiwa says 40 watts. Maybe they mean 40 watts per channel? But that would be unrealistically high. I suspect the true RMS output is lower.

Can you please take measurements of the shell? I don't trust published dimensions, they are often incorrect.

Do you detect any vibrations or rattles from heavy bass? Anything inside rattling?

I don't have a idea about this second transformer mount on the other side.
Maybe it's for some future modifications...

In user manual says: Output power 2 x 10 watts RMS, and I believe this is true.

Dimensions: W - 67 cm, H- 27 cm, D 17 cm, maybe the same size as a Sharp 575.

I didn't feel any vibrations or moving parts.

It was probably cheaper to design one side and mirror it for the other, and call it a day

I was noticing the plastic flywheel on the cassette mech. An easy modification would be to swap that with a metal flywheel. That would improve W/F issues dramatically for those of us who still enjoy our tapes

I like the look of it.

I don't find such information yet.
All versions have a battery compartment for 8 batteries.
There is no mention of a built-in rechargeable battery.

That's odd. They could have at least given it a cheap little 2,700 mAh battery like the GPO has. I doubt that would have been much more expensive than a transformer.
