Must say, I do like the black and gold version, but they have no appeal to me.
Vintage gear made in Japan in the late 70’s/80’s compared to something cheaply made in China these days, no comparison. Ok, it may have all the modern connect ability, but it has no charm. I like the 70’s/80’s ones because they are solidly built with components that have stood the test of time. If any electronic components do fail, then they are usually easily replaceable, being through hole soldered components. Plus like any vintage gear, they have their quirks, the vintage electronics smell when you open them.
The Roxel is highly priced for a cheaply made Chinese item these days. Chinese made items like this are always let down by poor screen printing. Take the Roxel, the cheap looking font used for the treble, bass, tuning and volume knobs, why is the font so large? The same with the tuning dial area. It just makes it look cheap and Chinese.
But….. wonder if you could fit all the original 575 parts into one of these modern housings? My 575 has the usual broken tape door hinge pegs
