Cool looks gorgeous!!!! which one is it? I see with and without deck label??
Good eye Baddoybill!! Its the same box. I carefully removed the label. I like to see my TEAC metal reel turn when listening to them. Kept the label in case I feel like sticking it back on.

The most expensive boombox ever made!
Realy Koleloi?
Do you have an idea of how much it sold for when new?
After a search on the net, found on wikiboombox.com, that it would of sold for 145 000 yen in 1982. That would be arround $1300 USD today. That is serious money.

I got one like 7 years ago in mint condition. After winning the bid, the seller was reluctant to ship the item thinking he will get more money for it. After patiently waiting for two weeks he shipped it. Still remember the excitement of opening the package. All I did was cleaning contacts with Deoxit. RX7200 is packed .... is like the engine compartment of Mercedes AMG. I still don't know how to get to the belts. Have worked on many boxes but this one is too complicated. So many circuit boards....

Based on what I see the radio was in a very lazy and sloppy hands ( I guess for incomplete FM restoration). Resulting in wires going all over the places they never did originally, and most harnesses poorly re-dresses. Broken connector is simply amazing! I've seen lots of those radios in different conditions, never came across lost connector shell! None of must-go electrolytic caps replaced neither. Piece of black electrical tape on the top of digital display - what's with that?
