I'd pay good money for that robot
I wouldn't - I'm as tight as a fishes arse.
The cost of the wood for me would be massively overshadowed by the cost of getting someone in to move the random boxes of records, record players, radios, boomboxes and f*** alone knows what else out so that I could get to the wall I have earmarked for shelves, then move stuff back in onto those shelves, then put up more shelves at the other end of the room and shuffle stuff around again. I asked my home help years ago but apparently her remit begins and ends with getting me up and mobile on days when she's needed, doing shopping when that didn't work and trying her level best to keep up with the unequal task of keeping my sprawling pile clean. Trouble is, ever since I got my first house, I've managed to expand my collection to fill roughly one and a half times the available space!
I should just stop being so "careful" as I can't take it with me and a monkey - possibly less - should see the job at least finished to the point where I can get in about at the room to take care of details such as wiring and buying a few more radios to fill any gaps that are left over. Or is that not how it should be done?
