When you replace a new slider or move one over to another selector be sure to check for the old broken pieces stuck on the slider post.
If you try to place a slider on a post that has some of the broken plastic on it you will break another one instantly. If there is a broken piece on the slider you can use two narrow objects to try to lift the old piece off. It's tedious but prooves faster than dismantling the whole boombox.
yea i figured that one out, i managed to use a small drill and then a tooth scraper!!!! it has a sharp point on it and i was able to dig into the broken stub of plastic and remove it. Ive just fitted the sliders that bredgo made me......they work just fine.....
