Well, funny you should mention it but the 550 & other radios inspired me to put the bars on my M90. I saw some bars for sale on ebay, minus the Grundig radio & snapped them up, right away. I like the angled placement around the woofers. The whole idea is to have a radio that takes the best of all the others & cranks it up a notch, to INSANE!!! When you look at it, you can't mistake it for a factory unit.


You know it's a mod....

I know what you're saying but for me, the heavy hittin' grails are where it's at. The styling of the chrome rings, woofer grills etc. are just beggin' to be topped out to the max....

I think a quality box that's screaming out for some light action is the Sanyo M9998! Maybe a horizontal row of LEDs that runs across the top of the drivers just below the tweeters - like the Master Blaster LEDs. :drool: I'll leave the rest to the LED expert! :bow:

Well, I finished off the King Ghidorah & got some sweet knurled chrome Fender Guitar knobs for the LED adjusters(3). I really think they go great with the chrome woofer rings, aluminum top trim, Grundig bumpers & silver LED accents...

Let me know what you think of the additions to the project. I will post a video soon of it in action.....

Holy crap that is an amazing looking beast...the controls fit nicely and bars make it look mean. I don't have the guts to do this to such a high end box myself but I'd love that monster on my shelf! Really like the differing colours :-)

That is rather awesome...the extra controllers ramp it up another level...looks sooo cool with the different sections flashing different colours...love it :-)

UPDATE:

Well I got the switches installed for the remote eyes. I'll play with them later & explain their purpose but take a look at the location. It's tucked in back & protected from damage & out of sight. With these 3 switches, I can gang together, or independently control the LED sections.

I'll try to get some daylight shots tomorrow, before work.....

I'm not sure if it comes through on the video but if you listen to it on some really good speakers or car system with subs, you will be astonished at the BASS in this vid. The Ghidorah M90 & DISCO DESTROYER Triple-7 are the only 2 radios playing the music but man the pair pushes out some heart-pounding BASS & great highs!!
