about 1 1/2 years ago -
-i sold the same models that you just got to two other cool members here--
and both of these guys are somewhat discerning
and selective m-fkers

both kabooms were in what is considered
"mostly/almost/fairly" mint condition

they are no less than skippy of baraboooo
and james67 of canada

both send me flowers -- (weekly)

and - even after 18 months
they STILL have not even noticed...............

there is no tape counter , no handle, no tweeters--
that the tuner suks --and the 38 other disasters involved !!!!

To be honest norm there is nothing retro that compares with the kaboom it knocks the likes of the m90 for 6 altho my m90's go way louder due to moderfacation and the 90 is way clearer on cassette, it depends what you have in your collection
and consider the best, If it's the likes of the 7700 and the 920 then be pripared to be blown away by this beast totally

Well, what I really want to know is what modifications Rimmy did to make his M90's go way louder.

Well, what I really want to know is what modifications Rimmy did to make his M90's go way louder.

Basically all i did norm was ajust the cassette gain pots and I changed the speakers on 1 of my 90's resulting in a richer bass

The results were the tape ended up much louder and when you use super RNS the dolby acts the same but you end up with a much clearer sound, instead of taking awey the treble the super RNS actually boosts it but still gets rid of the actual tape hiss.

The negative point is that you end up with more distortion on full volume but you just back of the bass as normal and everything is fine. I may actually try this on the kaboom one day providing the pots are actually there.

you guys must remember --

about 2 or 3 years ago --
they was on overload of retail NEW kabooms

and LOTS of established electronics dealers and EBAY STORE sellers
were putting them out on ebay --

there were about a dozen EVERY week -!!!
all NIBs --
and they went from 225--275

which was about the MSRP, anyway.

i bought about 4 back then --sold 2 -have 2 left
