Awesome!

What gold paint did you use exactly?
It's a metallic flake from Ace Hardware ( 4 coats ). The gold seems to be similar to the one Lasonic uses  I also used a gray primer ( 4 coats ) plus 4 coats clear :-D

Wow - 12 coats of paint - that might have made the difference when trying to put on the decals for sure, lol

I'm telling you, the ones I got were pretty hard to fit and i didn't add 12 coats of paint, lol

Well it's thin coats, but I also noticed the cut being different in the decals. I still think its something to do with the new manufacturer :hmmm:

Hey Bill, i thought i would dig up your old thread  as im really thinking about painting my white i931.

Firstly how did you you remove the decals, and after paint did you get old ones back on or are they a new set.
Also was it a fairly easy disassembly, any thing that was a bit tricky i should look out for.

I purchased new set of decals because some of old ones got ruined from removing. Although you might be able to use blow dryer to warm up for easier removal to save them. Disassemble was easy since all boards use plugs unlike the old Lasonics. Good luck with paint
