my collection isnt very large but it was all free and i only just started to collect in december of 2016
it all started with the jvc rc-838 it was givin to me as a tip for cleaning out a garage if i didnt take it the landfill was so i feel i did the right thing .
second is the national panasonic rs-462s above the jvc in the photo. it was posted in a buy and sell as free i answered and picked it up 4 hours after it was posted and belt was repaired.
then the jvc rc-770 i went to purchase a sanyo forget the model but it was super nice and the guy sold it on me i traveled 2 hours for this thing and i was so mad until he showed me 3 rc-770 and said i could choose one for free i took the one that worked and cosmetically looked the best.
last is the red fairmate rd-1210 a recent find i answered a buy and sell ad it was priced at 15$ went to meet the person and he showed up 15 min late i gave him the money and he gave me a bag with the box as i was leaving the parking lot he drove up beside me and gave me the 15$ back and said enjoy it i brought it back from japan and really just didnt want to throw it out but didnt think anyone would want it .
not sure how often one can be givin a free boombox as they seem to be rare in my parts of northern ontario but i believe i was meant to collect boomboxes i cant tell if i am finding them or they are finding me
follow me on instagram @decks_n_cassettes to see the old players i come across and the cassettes i have acquired in the short time ive been collecting
