I worked under a Master Electrician for over a year and learned the residential side of the trade. Also had my cousin-in-law, who is a Union Master Electrician, come and inspect all my work before/during/after. He had me change a few minor things but was overly satisfied with my skillz
. He didn't have a problem telling me if I had something wrong because he doesn't "take chances" when it comes to this kind of thing. My families safty relies on the quality of the work done, so I don't screw around taking chances either.
The previous owners of my home were hack jobs, cutting, splicing, over loading, almost every electical circuit in the house. We had MAJOR fire hazards in the electrical system. I managed to get every single knob and tube wiring out of my house. When looking at the electrical panel in the basement you would think that all K&T was replaced with new romex wire and up to code but burried in the walls were some scary things
.
So to answer you question, I'm pretty sure you should have your license but no one will raise a stink as long as it passes final rough and final inspection.
