You know, are some guys in the Model RC Tank community that build custom smokers that use fog juice. They are TINY and have built in fans and they PUMP out the smoke! Cheap too, under $50, that would do the trick.

Of course the downside is, you don't know if your smoker is working or your box is on fire  But that would be SICK!
If you could send me a link on that I would much appreciate it. I am very interested in making that work....

Well, looked at the vids & LEDs over & over again until BAM!!!! I know what the last phase will be....hopefully I'll have a vid ready of the final results by the wee hours of the morning...The LEDs on the 2nd Triple7 will be DONE! Only a couple of small details to finish up after that to make it complete....

Stay tuned for more vids....

I've finished re-configuring the existing LED segments into a more pleasing pattern for my tastes & now I have to fabricate some more strips & mount them in strategic locations to finish off the LED portion of my Triple7 SUPER MOD Disco Destroyer(tm) II.

Hey CC,

Here are two from some custom builders. They are a bit pricey, but these are designed for MAX output.

I have one of these RC tanks and the stock smoker output is rather low and although it would trickle some smoke out and be kind of neat in a feminine sort of way, I just don't feel that would match your style  These high output systems pump the smoke out.

Both of the links above have videos

Good luck...this would be a fun addition! Might look into this as well :-D

Can't use it for a boombox. It burns light oils for that effect which is perfect for spoofing a diesel engine but not exactly the same as a fog juice machine. Bummer!

OK, I had to sort out a couple of cables that weren't tacked down & rattled too much to enjoy the music. I went back inside the belly of the beast & taped the cables down in spots & refined the routing, etc to eliminate noise wherever I could. I also used a stiff piece of packing foam to cushion the main circuit board that runs along the top of the case & also eliminated that rattle as well so now I have a nice tight rock box that also handles the heavy dub gracefully.
Sorry for the delay in posting a victory lap with the new LED setup but now I'm ready to debut the new look in it's final revision. I'll try to get the effect & sound on video but it really is never the same as in person. This thing will kick a DISCO LITE in the face for fun & hold its own in the crowd of grails, even if it's not the loudest or biggest out there.
Anyways, here it is:

I'ms till waiting on a shipment to do a couple of small details but otherwise, I'm on to the next DISCO projects, the M80....

Enjoy

There is something VERY satisfying about tracking down rattles and correcting them. I does make the listening experience better.

Now you can crank the music, watch the lights, crack a beer and just enjoy!

That & literally years of planning, fabbing, testing, installations & trouble shooting has brought me this far so to me that is very satisfying when the latest project comes out even better than all the previous ones, except maybe King Ghidorah, which I would call a tie....

Thanx tatto, :-D

Glad you like. There is a lot of work, design, fabbing & troubleshooting involved to pull it off but for me it was well worth it to have a 1 of a kind super MOD....

you have to tap into the main DC voltage line, just before it goes to the main board. That way, the LEDs are powered by AC, AC/DC adapter or batteries with no extra connections needed. The controllers & LEDs really don't draw a lot of power so the original fuse protection still is in effect & very safe against shorts, etc. The controllers also work on a wide range of input voltage(10-30v) so the varying power sources are not an issue, which is very important.

Ok, well, the MODDER's Corner has been busy recently, churning out ground-breaking additions to the ART of Custom Works....The HELLION Helix, as I call it is very sweet & sophisticated while being completely in your face & stands out front... but Lasonic is the man to officially name it.....

The 'SnowBird' 'C-100' of Vintage Man Customs, clean, minty shiny, SUPER DOPE colors & contrasting style that screams CLASS!!.....My name would have been the 'Snow-CONE-100'..

The M70 VU Dual ACTION SUPER MOD by Caution which technically is above me by several levels of knowledge & if I'm not mistaken in my assumption, uses the genius concept of shining 1 LED(yellow) system through the plastic body of the original(red) system so that 2 separate circuits of LEDs can utilize the original display to do both jobs, at once & together & probably in 2 differing colors that isn't picked up so well on video....brilliant!!

Anyways, I finally got my supplies in from China & did some quick detail work on my DISCO Destroyer II. The woofer caps for the middle set are pure flat white & really needed something cool in the center to finish it off.....

I decided to go full geek & try some Decepticon emblems, silver & violet, to add some comic book cool since really, I fell like a kid all over again, thinking of mods & trying them out......

Enjoy & stay tuned for 1 final addition:
