The display is for light control. There are different settings to control what fancy stuff is active and what isn't. No CD player, just plain old radio, line, tape.

Wow! It's some sort of perpetual motion device, it uses 80 Watts yet you get 128 Watts out of the thing. That's really clever stuff.
