MR-X900 (M9998 Japan Edition) Tuner Problem

I recently received a MR-X900 from Japan. I replaced the belts, cleaned the switches. The tape deck works fine, but when I switch it to "Radio", no sound can be heard from the speakers nor headphone, not even any noise. The same results in both AM and FM. The VU meter shows the signal was not moving at all when I turned the dial.
Please tell me what could be wrong with it. Thank you.

most tuner issues cannot be fixed im afraid unless it is something simple, good luck, maybe someone can shed some light

You may have cleaning fluid on components for the radio. I would wash down the Tuner board with alcohol and a paint brush then place in the sun to dry for a few hours.

Doesn't the tuner on that model only go from 76 to 90?
