Hey Guys,

Does anyone know why this happens? Is it a capacitor, voltage regulator or something like that? I'd like to get rid of that sound, it really sucks! :annoyed:

Thanks!

That could be caused by the record bar, or a bad capacitor.
1) press REC&PLAY several times. If it dissapeared, the record bar needs cleaning
2) Run it on bateries. No way that 50/60Hz gets into the BBX. If it dissapeared, some filtering cap got bad.

Good luck.

I tell you what Ira: In the event that I get tired of the box, you will be ther first person I will contact! However, you will have to deal with some pretty topugh obstacles: It is missing a few knobs (not a huge deal) but the tape door has gone AWOL, and I am afraid that locating another one of these would be as easy as finding a virgin on the set of a porno movie! :sadno: :'-(

However, it turns out that I am NOT the only person who owns one of these on the forums: Litfan over at S2G has one too. I will keep you posted!
