Missing coil core in lower deck

Hi ! I am currently engaged in the restoration of a C-100ff. After disassembling the lower deck I saw a bad surprise. It looks like a core is missing in the coil.This is responsible for the MSSI function right? Apart from this function not working, will this have any other effect on the operation of the mechanism of this deck? Do you think there is any way of replacing this missing part?

The missing part will look something like these images. It's just a small metal shaft with something on the end of it that can grab the thing to be moved.
