M90 Speaker Question...

They WILL sound better and with the foam surrounds you will definitely move more air.
Definitely will have better bass.
Less overall volume output because of the impedance difference.
Will those fit???? probably not.
the magnets will hit the power transformer.
I had to take a grinder to the magnet on mine and take at least a quarter inch off the corner of the magnet to make it fit.
The ones you are looking at look bigger/deeper than the ones i put in.

you dont want to grind even ALOT ??? more than 1/4" off those magnets

and i think --the ONLY reason you wanted them -- is that there are cool looking WHITE --
right ????

is when you come back here with another discovery of some nice
8" woofs that FIT !!!!

Whats to be afraid of???
Grinding the magnet down wont harm the speakers performance.
PLUS You guys heard the modded M-90 at the meet side by side with a non modded M90,
and you guys loved it. Or at least you lied to me about it
The different color drivers will liven up the look of the M-90 as well.
I would love to see what lighter colored drivers would look like.

The ebay page does have all the measurements, so I will have to bust out the ruler, tape measure, protractor, sliderule and abacus and see what I can come up with....

Actually the woofers are aluminum / chrome, with shiny black dus caps! Extremely sexy looking!!!

Jury's not out yet... still deliberating.

Well, I think I've decided not to replace these just yet! Mine actually sound quite fantastic, its just for the optics...

Plus, I don't own a grinder.
