No, The Elephant is not so big as the name would suggest and i think that the c-100f (when looking at the pictures here because i have no personal experience with that box) is bigger. The Philips is certainly not a small box but I think that the name Elephant has more to do with the grey colour imo.

Here are some pics from the KENWOOD leaflet in dutch..it seems that there was also a battery-pack available to make it completely portable..but sadly i dont have it..there was also a flightcase where you could put the complete unit in with the amplifier and the speakers..maybe this can be made.
I can recommand this unit to everyone..there is one for sale at E-Bay..the sound is awesome!

The nickname will be El Poco(the small one) according to the brochure.
