Whatever happened to their announcment that they would make old parts available again? Was that just a line of crap to toy with us?

First off, they are not Lasonic's belt buckles. Sellers on eBay have been selling them for years. Second, the belt buckles aren't even of a Lasonic boombox!

We are not straying from our boom box roots, however with the current market situation the boombox market is at an all time low, you guys must understand that being able to produce an item like the i931 takes alot of effort and time. We are doing the best we can to maintain this line. "Re-introducing" every classic boombox created would be amazing, however we simply cannot due to the dwindling lifeline of the boombox in general, however the 931 will live!
... on the other hand, our classic parts are currently being prepared for near future launch, since these are all vintage pieces from the 1970's 80's and 90's it has taken some time to tally and identify, please be patient.

Reptoid that post is better, hopefully what they say is true so at least we'll get some classic parts.

I don't know what's wrong with some of you cats - you seem to be jumping the gun and acting like belt buckles are all they're gonna put out. Give Lasonic some time to do whatever it is they gotta do.
Besides, they didn't confirm that they were gonna re-release any of the old boxes.

If they were selling belt buckles of actual Lasonic boomboxes, I don't think anybody would mind.Come out with a TRUE 931 belt buckle with hard enamel cloisonne, and they could make a fortune.

Now that I think about it more, they are keeping it real. Lasonic is in the business of making money. This will probably sell but I agree with fd.
Let's keep it positive and be thankful that they're still in he boom box biz. Hell, they're the only ones who actually have communications with the fans. Where Is jvc, panasonic, sanyo, etc.

I think a lot of this energy for or against Lasonic is simply due to the desire and hunger for something from Lasonic, JVC, Panasonic, etc. so it doesn't take much to stir us up.

I'm not gonna front... That belt buckle is wack tho - doesn't resemble ANY Lasonic, past or present.
If they wanna make money from clothing related goods, they should come out with some Lasonic t-shirts and hoodies.

I'm down with lasonic for doing what they are doing to STAY ALIVE. If it takes selling some cheapo belt buckles to make a buck then so be it. At least they are still out there representing a brand that we know and love. It's either that or say byebye to lasonic as a name forever. Hell, if they make enough money off the stuff they are doing maybe they can afford to do some stuff we really care about. While it may sound like selling out, everything begins and ends with money.
