"Bringing back the past"? I wonder what those Lasonic cats are up to. :hmmm:

I hope they're making some 2010 versions of their old boxes. What I mean by that is: on the outside, old look... Inside, new electronics. I'm not talking about "i" versions either. :no: ;-) :cool:

Whatever it is I really appreciate them continually working for us over the years. Granted it all gone a bit down hill, but I'll take it over nothing ANYDAY! :)

It's ridiculous how many of them show up on eBay!!! Just type "i931" and see...
I wouldn't be surprised if they're up to something big... hopefully!
I don't like the i931 enough to get one, I don't know...
It doesn't look too solid... :-/

Yes! Bring back some true retro styled models like the 975, 935, 920, etc with some modernized guts offering performance like the originals and then they'd really be on to something. :thumbsup:

:agree: INDEED! They took a chance bringing out the i931 and it paid off lovely (I assume)! If they've been planting people on Boomboxery and s2g, as well as checking out all the interest in the i931, they know what Lasonic fans want. Now they're on Facebook, building up websites and whatever... Bigger things are definitely in store for the next few years.

We already know that the i931 will have iPhone/iPod touch modifications, but since interest in Lasonic is at it's highest point since the 1980's, there might be some room/money for them to test the waters with some "new" old school boxes. They've gotta take advantage of the situation they're in! :yes:

2010 "TRC" models... :cool: Lasonic still make cassette boomboxes, so why not? :huh:

So I wrote Lasonic last week about a new boomer that would work with the iPod touch/ iPhone and they just wrote me back!

Here's what they said:

Hi Alfred,

Thank you for contacting Lasonic Electronics Corp.

We do have project for this coming Summer 2010 to make new version of our boom box which compatible with iPhone. The release date still unconfirmed yet.

Please check our website for updating information.

I sent them a message weeks ago asking the same thing - talking about just the woofers tho. ;-) They told me they had limited stock and they cost $20 each plus shipping. I told them to send me an order form with the shipping charge and they never got back to me. :-/

Belt buckles... Really... What the..? And what is it supposed to be? That's no i931 or any other Lasonic I've ever seen. Looks like the stuff you get off ebay. :huh:

This auction on eBay is for the exact same belt buckle (minus the rhinestones) - and it's about 20 minutes from me!
