I think your right Bill. Looks like the transistor maybe shorted and burned up or something else caused them too take to many amps perhaps?

Sure is a transistor. Saw the C87 and figured a Cap was there but I guess its transistor. Honestly board needs replacement but not sure Lasonic even has them.

Are Lasonic still a going concern?

C87 surface mount cap, R810, R813surface mount resistors, QP3, QP5 surface mount transistor. Now he just needs the numbers off of them...and a solder station or the like.

Although they may cook again depending what caused the fail.
