Hello everyone, I'm very happy, proud and truly honored to be the new owner of this 2 of a kind all chrome Lasonic i931. I threw down 1 offer, and it got instantly declined, so I gave it my best and final 2nd offer and asked Mr. Albert Chen if he would be willing to avoid shipping and if he would agree to local pickup since I only live an hour away from the Lasonic warehouse. He was cool with that. So we agreed to a price and terms, and made a deal.
We met up last Monday morning and although I had a slight Superbowl hangover, I made the pilgrimage to pick up my new prize
I asked Albert how many Lasonic's were sacrificed in the making of these 2 all chrome boomboxes and he told us 15!! Only 2 made the cut. One is at the Lasonic warehouse, and one is now mine. I'm such a big fan of Lasonic since the TRC-931 was my 1st SERIOUS boombox back in the day. And ever since I started collecting I've fallen in love with them all over again. To me, this is such a great piece of Lasonic's history, and I still can't stop staring at it. This was the absolute best day of my collecting so far, and my personal best purchase to date. This was my 2nd time dealing with Albert and I cant say one bad thing about this man. He's the best. It was a pleasure dealing with him in every way, just a stand up dude all the way around. And having my son was right along by my side for the great memories was the best part of it all. Cheers everybody!
