Very ingenuous. Clearly has some background in mechanical engineering. Not sure about the durability though as these plastic parts take a lot of stress.

Hm, looks like PLA.....but the layers could make some problems.....if it is strong enough? The cam which is intervention in the gearwheel? Otherwise :hmmm:

He did a great job

Probably the perfect situation, a guy with a broken Boombox, purely mechanical problem. Wants to get it repaired but either it’s not fixable due to lack of obsolete parts, or cost exceeding perceived value; has an epiphany, says wait a minute, I’m a mechanical engineer! I can solve this! Otherwise it would have never been fixed. Now if only we can convince him to make the time to create all sorts of things now obsolete.

Awesome, I was wondering if this guy was going to sell these. He posted a link to his YouTube video in the comment section of my function switch video.

I have no need now as I have the Trommelmops gears. Still need to make the time to rebuild my 931's

You and me both brother, except for me is my 920 gears. My 931s all surprisingly work.

Hey guys! I am reassembling my switch, and I don't know where to place the plastic slider in order for to work right. You can actually move it by a couple of teeth and still have the switch run through the full range of motion. Does anyone know?

Hey T, great to see you are still at it. HUGELY desirable part right here. Will fix a design weakness in so many Lasonic's.

My suggestion to everyone is to buy 2-3 of these gears and wait for a cheap Lasonic with a broken switch to come up on ePay. Then your primed and ready to go!

I just got a $60 fully complete one from guy around here but needs both gears.

Hey there. I am new here, just found the site trying to fix up TRC-931. I have a donor as well. I was wondering if these are still available? I need both gears but would take 2 of each if possible.
