I also have this model which I purchased new around 1988 (see avatar)m40dotcom said:Forgive me if this has previously been noted/posted, but are there even 2 sub versions of the '2nd release'? I believe I have a 2nd release, but I notice that I have no headphone jack under Deck B like I see in others, but instead just a blank space and the graphic like the others. Odd thing is that if I run my finger over the blank space, it almost feels like there's the hole for the jack in the chassis, but it's just covered by the plate with the decal. My jack is on the side of the box (sorry about the dark iphone pics). I believe everything on mine is original. Not sure where I might look to see a year or anything on it. I do have a serial number sticker on it if that can tell me anything. Hmmmm

My Gen 3 has D-stem volume and balance knobs. AFAIK, previous gens all had spline knobs; I know this because I need each of those knobs and can't use the Gen 2 knobs I ePay'd for last week.pulpbeats said:Does anyone know if there are any generation 3 parts that work with the generation 2's?
