If I ever find this box... It will only play the Karate Kid OST or the Bananarama "Cruel Summer" single

Anyone ever figure out what kind of box that was? I have googled Magnavox, Sanyo, Philips, Toshiba, Panasonic, Sears, JC Penny.........still haven't found a match

Maybe the studio prop guys just designed their own.

It's a Sears Sr 2100 series I have the exact same Boombox the first Boombox I ever owned.

My original one is still working and I never did a damn thing to it.

It looks like it could definitely be an AKA of a Sanyo M9706.

Yep.
Except the Sears version doesn't have tweeters

The Sanyo M9706 manual says:
12W consumption
2x2W output @ 10% distortion
Wow and flutter: 0.3% (horrible  )
Frequency response 100 - 8,000 Hz

BTW, there is a great new Karate Kid series on YouTube Red that features most of the OG cast that is FREAKING AWESOME! It's called "COBRA KAI".

Just finished watching season one. Absolutely KICK ASS

OK, back to this thread!

I love the karate kid but Joe Macchio couldn't beat his way out of a wet paper bag lol. Hell Pat Morita was the best part of the movie I prefer him in Sanford and Son as chew. Especially when him and Fred open up a Japanese restaurant in freds house ,that was the funniest shitt ever.
