Wow, I take a break, have dinner and, like KABOOM, 23 replies when I return. Well, I saw the smaller kabooms on JVC's website and looked at the specs. I won't be getting any of those. As for this one, like I said, I like it but now, it's like -- been there, done that.
Anyone here have one of those BOSCH portable boomboxes that include an MP3 CD Am/Fm boombox with built in battery charger and GFCI surge/power outlets, designed for use in construction jobsite? If we are talking about unconventional boomboxes that sound good, you'd be suprised at the power on that Bosch and although designed for a different purpose, I would place it into a category like the kaboom. You can power it using the rechargeable Bosch tool battery packs and when they are discharged, you can charge them back up. One other thing, it takes up less real estate than the kaboom AND you can get them for under $100 bucks! A terrific bargain in my book for a great sounding boombox. The only minus (if you can call it a minus) is that it doesn't include a cassette player.
Anyhow, I'd always wondered what a car audio system would sound like if put into a portable system. I guess the Kaboom is what I can expect from a project like that.
