YO! I'm making a JVC shoulder strap for myself and was wondering if anyone has the dimensions for the clip portion. If I get the width or length I can figure out the rest.

Thanks!

I have the dimensions at home that I can post later (with radius information for corners and whatnot) - unless someone else posts before me. It'll be around 1930 GMT. Can you wait that long?

I can cut a bunch of those very easily from steel and can powder coat them. What is the thickness of the clip?

Is there a spot on the BBX that this just clips into?

Count me in for a pair too!
This would be awesome if you could make and sell them Blu!
Many of us have M-70s, but few of us have the strap.

Rock On.

I would gladly make these and keep plenty on hand for the random newbe that comes along looking for them. I just want to know how they are used. There must be a second part to this that actually holds this. Anyone have a pic?

It looks like the description/img shown above will get a perfect product. I would need someone to mail these to for testing to ensure they are 100% before sending out a bunch of them.

Hey Blu, I need a set as well. I'm sure anyone here would be happy to test them for fit/finish, me included! :-)

I was in the process of making some up using those drawings. There are a few dimensions that are off. double check the sides right above the section that is actually inserted. One says total length is 15 and if you add the other side it 15.75. on the part that is actually inserted on side says the total length is 14 the other side says 28. Its looks like an end point error.
I couldn't finish them cause I no longer had access to the shop.

So, Blu, i'll take two pair if you decide to stock em.

Does anyone know if this clip will work for a RC838 and a 656??? :hmmm:

This is going to be shawweeeeeet! I will make a proto. hopefully by the end of next week and send it out to someone. I just need to confirm the thickness and I can probably get them buttoned up shortly.

My powder coating options are endless too. Chrome powder(more silverish than chrome), metallics, textured, black, white etc.... I'm sure most of you would want a chromed piece but I can't do chrome, just a look-a-like chrome powder.

Check out http://store.columbiacoatings.com/cgi-b ... arent=AAPD for colors because that is where I get my powder.
Here is a thread I started on my car forum for my coatings. There are more/better pics at the end of that thread. I am thinking price would be $25 shipped in USA just raw steel. $35 shipped in USA with coating. Price includes 2 pieces.

Here are a few pics I have of JVC straps. I can't confirm that these are original JVC.

Can you do aluminum? Raw is best because the powder (although very tough) will chip over time.
