JVC RC M80 Phono to Line In

hello
I'm weak in electronics. What needs to be done to have a line in input.Now there is Phono.What does the arrow mark mean?

Change the switch to the "LINE IN" position

Like caution said, switch it to line in.
The RCA connectors serve dual purposes, either down for line in or up for phono.
That switch is represented as S701 in your diagram.

You need to duplicate the same line-in circuit that the non-Euro models have.
Add a 56K series resistor to S301 for left and right channels, like it shows on the schematic

Thanks for the help. line in works fine, I soldered the resistors.Radio works.I replaced the belts in the cassette deck,but the problem is how
BoomboxLover48. Aliexpress I ordered idler.I didn't find the right one.
I ordered several, maybe I will use one.I applied the battery li-on.

Line in works fine now with just the addition of the 2 impedance resistors? Looks like the switch, S701 was hard jumpered in phono mode. Without the switch, I would think the jumpers would need to be moved to the line-in position, no? Otherwise, they would be resistors with a path to nowhere.

Yes,jumpers soldered in line-in position
