I found a thread here were yall were discussing the puny amp chip. Id like to isolate that portion of the chip and jump to an 50x50 watt sister board with Bluetooth. I already upgraded to 4ohm 65watt nippon speakers. It just doesn't have the ass too push em . I also intend to pack it with recargeable lion batteries and I want to keep the battery meter.

You would have to be able to mail the slider board to me. In order to do that, you would have to have the technical ability to desolder that board from the main PCB. It's a rather delicate process as both boards are soldered together at right angles along a row of about 25-30 solder pads. They absolutely MUST be desoldered before that board is physically unfastened or you will break the pads and traces and maybe the PCB itself. Just speaking from experience, greater than 50% of the customers who ship those to me, do so after imparting some amount of damage. That should tell you how delicate the process is. Simply speaking, desoldering and separating those 2 boards is not a task to learn how to solder/desolder on. If you feel that is something you can confidently do, then hit me up and I'll send you a PM (private message) with details about cost and to make arrangements if you decide you wish to proceed.

As for the rest of what you are contemplating doing, I don't have any comment or advice regarding that except to say that this along with a few other JVC boomboxes are packed really "tight" with very little room for anything else. This model is definitely not one of those big empty boxes, which are probably better candidates for such a project, but you'd have to decide that for yourself.
