JVC M90 Score ! Toronto Canada

So yesterday, a buddy of mine texted me a link to a local Kijiji ad about a JVC M90 boombox. The ad read "OLD SCHOOL JVC". So I immediatly emailed them and was lucky to get a response. Best thing was that it was only $40.
It was located roughly 2 hours drive from Toronto.
When I got there, the lady said she was bombarded with emails, offering her $500 !

I would give this box a 9/10 for cosmetic condition and 10/10 for working condition !

Ah man that's fantastic!!!!!!! Listed for only $40, damn. A $40 M90 is basically a free M90. Got to be the FIRST to get it in your hands.


Another member Tony Cruz on S2G was just mentioning the deal that was pulled from him for a M90 in Canada.

That is Awesome for ya ! Congrats. I just missed out on one locally here too a couple of weeks ago $ 55 .

Best thing here is (besides you getting it of course ) is that she honored her price! Very rare these days

And that was $40 CDN so like $30 USD ? :thumbsup:

Great score, congrats to you Robb. I need to start looking again, I've pretty much stopped looking for radios lately just cause of the ridiculous prices people want.

Nice to see scores like this.

What an awesome deal. I'd have been in a panic every minute of the journey, heart a-thumping, expecting the price to jump off the scale!

Wow, what a score! And to think the people offering her $500 were probably thinking she'd be mad to accept such a low price!

They never sold the M90 in Oz so no such deals around here.

Trust me i was thinking she would up the price when I arrived, or find out it was an error in the listing price !

i was very glad to find a person like that --right nearby in Fort Lauderdale :

once upon a time - at about 9PM - i was the first to see a TRUE MINT M90 pop up on ebay --
a few seconds after the listing started - i emailed the seller with a $1200 BIN offer
with cash and a a pick-up in the following morning -------he accepted.
the seller forgot to delete his ebay listing --and i was in a panic watching his M90 go from 99 cents
PAST $1200 and it was WAY over $2000 by early that morning when i called him .......
guessing that our deal was ' obviously' OFF --
He said --" its ON .. a deal is a deal "
