100+ hours!!! That's beyond insane! But I suppose with some insanity can come greatness sometimes huh?
Well, each blaster is a trial & error experiment with it's own design & challenges....I went full circle with the color of the grills, painted the woofer panels around each driver hemi orange for a more pronounced effect while the white grills hide the LEDs & amplify the reflected light back onto the woofers, which increases the visual effect. A lot of small subtle experiments went into the final design & the process is always organic & directed by my gut so that each is a different design. Even the first Prosonic has little resemblance to this one in the LED design....I'll dig up a video of the old system vs this one.....same radio, different design...

This is the 1st version of the same radio
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjNP1-kiHuU

2 controllers, 51 LEDs TOTAL, 47 VISIBLE(4 hidden behind the VU's)
6 separately wired LED sections
Custom silver grills for the woofers
Custom satin blue paint for the woofer areas

This is the 2nd version of the same radio,
2 controllers, 81 LEDs TOTAL, 61 VISIBLE(20 hideen by design)
15 separately wired LED sections,
Custom white grills(all 4)
Custom Hemi Orange & Satin Blue Paint for the woofer & tweeter sections
'Switched' remote sensors for splitting control of the LED systems or 'ganged' operation, allowing for more control = more fun!!

I love the way that the LED's are hidden behind the grilles versus the JVC's you had done previously. Kinda like grandma's Pontiac Tempest...you don't know it's a GTO until you light it off. :-D

Thanx!! :-D Been blasting with it for a while now & the white grills are growing on me which is a good sign of a solid win....the stealth LED placements were a break from my usual way of doing things but 1 thing remains the same in all my radios....

No 2 are exactly the same....or a copy of any one else's ideas....ever...

The white grills also reflect much more light back onto the woofer & tweeter areas & the difference is like night & day, almost literally....The 1st version of the ORTHROS, as seen in the 1st video, had silver grills that reflected a lot of light but not nearly as efficiently as white does for some reason....you would think chrome reflects all visible light but white reflects way more light it seems....

Ok, been taking my time, deciding on a different control layout for 3 controllers...I've decided to keep the exisiting LED layout etc. but have been hashing out the pattern for the 3 sections...

In the video below, you can see the original ORTHROS 2 controller Prosonic I traded to vintage man for his...

In this 2nd Video, you can see the 2nd Prosonic, the ORTHROS II in action with the white grills, tweeter LEDs & bottom bumper feet I installed which came from a SANYO, I forget which model..same song for comparison.

Now, in the 3rd video, I've pretty much decided on the changes to make & have tested the 'look' & performance of the new layout with the 2 existing controllers but have yet to add the 3rd controller so far:

Stay tuned.....

Man I can't believe how you can vision this stuff. I have no vision artistically. I can copy and come up with improvements sometimes, but to create something like these boxes you do, and paintwork others do.... so beyond my creative ability. Its honestly frustrating sometimes. Lol.

Thanks :-) :-) ...been working out the bugs on these LED systems for 2 years at least now so I thought I'd improve the look of this unit a bit with a re-think overall of the LED section configurations. Which section(s) works with which controller(s) etc. so I could get a different effect overall.....I didn't like the last revision..something about it didn't have that balance I look for...

I'm running into snags here & there so it's kind of slow going but it'll be done by probably the middle of next week hopefully, if time permits...
