All great boxes, and great photography too.

Well done Glue.

like awesome, rick :agree:

EXCEPT you need to find a better lighting shot for your
ultra gorgeous 787 --
in the real -- its a magnificent satin// pearl white-

but in your crappy light -
it looks like beerpiss yellow

:-) :-O

Ahh but Ira! This is the .jp pearl/gold variation, not the white one!
Very hard to capture the colour properly though. MONOLITHIC has the same one, but the pictures of his aren't up anymore.

When I first saw them on yahoo.jp I did think they were just yellowed white, but after seeing MONO's I realised it was their original
colour! And then decided (in my constant emulation of MONOLITHIC's collection!) that I had to have that colour way of this model.

Thanks for the kind comments guys! It's an afternoon-long project doing thes shoots, but the reward of the shots is always worth the effort. I didn't set my camera up properly for this shoot unfortunately, but really just wanted good clean shots to play with in photoshop.

Rock On.

Heres a more accurate shot of the colour (unphotoshopped). I didn't post it because one of my lighting umbrellas showed up in the tuner window, which is a shame as it was the best shot I got of her.

Especially around the Sharp badge area you can see the goldy/pearlescent finish.

we often all agree that sanyo was king of the minis --designwise -

well - sharp may be king of the midsize designs :-)

Great pics and boxes, Glue!

Big fan of the Sanyo 920 with the silver tuning section!

For me, the Sharp GF-787 is a hard box to shoot indoors and get good color rendition without later adjusting the color temperature...
It's probably best to just shoot the box outside when the sun is out. Regardless, the 787 is THE BEST version of that design.

Yeah, instead of deleting a boombox sub-album on my Photobucket account, I accidentally deleted my ENTIRE boombox album! :-/ :dunce:

This is how I SHOP  :-D

Since joining this forum, I have spent so much time in the "Collections" and "For Sale" section...SHOPPING.

I see the pictures, fall in love with a design, then read what people have to say about it. Then I go get one!

BTW Rick, thank you for posting your "Vintage 2011 Summer Catalog"

**Waving Credit Card**

I'm ready to make a purchase!
