Maybe. Except he has linked directly to Peppin's personal photo gallery. So I think permission would still warranted, IMHO.

I have no knowledge either way. Maybe he did get permission but if it was me, I would not grant it, especially if my name was all over the gallery. Might come back to haunt me later. Anyhow, anyone that's been collecting for any length of time will come to recognize Peppin's style and the seller should be smart enough (or maybe not) that this has got to look suspicious.

Ok, mystery solved. Peppin told me he sold it to the current seller 2 weeks ago for $370. So it looks like the seller did very well although I hope the new buyer read everything about all the stuff that's currently not working, and the physical damage to the boombox or they might not be very happy with it.
