Holly has been a real blast as we have all watched her win a mystery radio and then get her childhood dream box back in her life. Of course the fact that it's a JVC M70 doesn't hurt the addiction!

Yeah I have the goal to have my own boombox by the summertime. Or maybe two or three, maybe a crusty one so I won't mind too much taking it to the beach or to my friends lake house. And then a really nice one that I pamper that stays inside the house and another for the bike, and and and......OH MAN. Yes I am addicted. That's it. It's for sure now. I am I am I am. Every since Holly lent me boomer for the weekend, that's how it all starts.
He talks to me too, whisper to me in the night to turn him on and play music really loud!
I never had a boombox as super sweet as the JVC M70 when I was a kid, by the time I was 10 or 12 they started making them with cd players and trying to make them really small and the sound just wasn't the same. But I do have a really good memory of my friend with a pink boombox, not sure what brand and she would play the 'La Bamba' soundtrack. The box was pretty awesome.

Hey Ali,
It's really cool that you are seeing (and hearing) the difference between the true power of the classic designs compared to the small cheapo radio's that replaced them. So many people are simply satisfied with just a box or egg that barely reproduces sound and is portable. I think it is this simple fact that has led manufactures to building such crap.
It's really great to hear you have the bug and sure hope you get yourself a nice Blaster for the summer and beyond. It would be nice to see some ladies on the board!
As long as some of the Men (I use that term lightly) can stay under control! 
Plus your seductive verbiage is a nice contrast to the burps and farts I'm used too!
