Nice view!
Isn't it though? The Oregon coast is quite a sight.

Images are great, love em!!
Haha man you're right, I'm usually pretty good about remembering to cheer it up, Nick please razz me if I ever do this again!
Oh and thanks, they turned out better than I thought, given it was just my phone and not my ginormous DSLR!

I didn't know the Mad Scientist ever left the lab with all that crazy work he does!!

Nice pics, bro. I need to do the same thing. I'm right by the beach too!! Lake Michigan has one hell of a coastline over here.
Thanks man, yes you should go down there and take a few shots, that would be really cool to see!
I've been known to escape the lab, in fact I went all the way to Vegas last year to meet other mad scientists :-P

Wow, I was actually in Cannon Beach at the same time you were there. I recently rediscovered that this was a site of some of the Goonies filming (used to know everything about the movie). Even went to that little film museum in Astoria. Nice 920 box, by the way. How do 920s sound in terms of smooth bass?
Way cool! It was such a nice day up and down the coast. I haven't been to the film museum yet, but I've been to the maritime museum. They have the actual cannon that Cannon Beach is named after. If I remember correctly, it fell off that ship whose frame is stuck halfway out of the sand in Warrenton. The deck planks still stuck to it carried it all the way down there.
Oh and thanks, it is in great shape and was impressed how shiny it gets in the sun! In the bass department, I'd say it's decent, it's no M70 but it certainly holds its own.

Thanks Mauricio!

I would love to take some of my boxes down to the beach but I can't get around the sound of the salt air munching away at the contacts on the controls and circuit board traces....not to mention the grit of sand getting into the mechanics...oooohhh. I can't stand the thought. :'-(

Does anyone else have beach-box-phobia like me? Lol

I thought I was the only one. I actually contemplated taking my beater to the beach just to chill and listen to my beats, but the thought of sand getting inside the internals is cringe-worthy. What's funny is that the boombox is known for being an icon of fun at the beach. I guess when these were in their prime, the owners didn't care about their electronics?

Heck I took my GE with me to Duck N.C but the closest it got to the beach was our pool out at our rental house......and I still came back with needing to lightly deoxit the volume.

That salt air reeks havoc on electronics. I parked my car for just 1 day. Next day the brake rotors were rusted solid...haha

I've got a beater that is ready for the sand ;-)

i suppose the salty air is the reason I didn't see as many cool cars as I hoped. Though, someone brought their 1938 Buick coupe. That guy sure does like to live dangerously.
