The bad news i have just cracked open a couple of cans of special brew, as they say in credit crunch uk (baby i dont care) :'-(

After 4 months sober falling off the wagon might not be the best solution to the passing out for no reason. You may not come back again. You have also made a few suicidal references recently. Pull yourself together just long enough to go get some serious help. Don't confuse the sincere and well-meaning wishes and advice here for therapy. While we will support and encourage you in your journey you need some professional help. Today.

Absolutely correct Spud!

Tim don't let this incident start you back down that road. First and foremost get yourself checked medically then find some professional help for your mental state. Everybody has to deal with things they don't want to but dealing with them is how you improve and move on. Just my two cents here but if you find things around you that are negative, depressing or reminders that you don't want then get rid of them. If you have to many boomboxes cramping your digs and find it depressing then get rid of some, I know that's not the ulitmate answer but little things like this can help lift your spirits. If you associate with people who tend to drag you down then it's time to let them go. If you find yourself in surroundings that depress you then change them, go somewhere else. Simple yes but often it's what or who is around you that enables negativity and the only way out iS to change it.

Cheer up buddy, if you make the effort tommorrow can always be better. :-)

Sorry to hear about that Rimmer. I'm glad you didn't get too badly injured, it could have been much worse with all those boxes around.

Hey Tim...

Keep it together man. Boxes can be replaced...you can't. Sometimes we all need to step back and remind ourselves what we're worth to others. Tim, I don't see you as a selfish person, thus I wouldn't expect you to make selfish decisions or take selfish actions.

You have friends here. Keep your chin up. Let us know what's wrong with your boomers, if anything, I'm sure someone could help. :-)

I am still to scared (for want of a better word) to test my boxes, the gf1000 and 880 look fine but the pc55 looks like it has seen better days  as it went through the worst of the collision, before i fell it was in front of me then afterwards it was behind me, im not sure how it diddnt land on my head lol. One thing is for sure no more cans for me (not bad 2 cans in 4 months) but special brew is pretty strong i tell thee. cheerz all lets just pick up the peices and moove on eh :-) :afro:

Thank God your equipment broke your fall. You might have really gotten hurt otherwise.Personally I would consider that the best use of any equipment I have :-D .

Bobby really has an excellent idea. Our fascination with boomboxes has brought us all together unlike anything ever could in past history and before the internet. For me the more important fruits of the hobby are the friendships we make along the way.It would be great to meet you if you could make it to one of our meetings.Your posts have certainly been very entertaining and I'm sure you would be even more so in person  .
