How far would you drive to...

I would be driving almost 1100 km from Skopje - Macedonia to Vienna - Austria to visit nearest boombox pal VienaSound and getting my NatPan RF-5210.
Also we may drink some beer with him and talk about the boomboxes and flea adventures in restaurant "Skopje" in Vienna.

Look what is opened when i was tipped on the googlemap destination Skopje to Vienna to find how long is distance form here to there to driving. Only 2885 meters.
I didn't know that there is a restaurant with such name (Skopje) in Vienna.

If I lived in Europe, where highway driving (on average) is much more scenic and fun versus the flatlands of Florida , I might extend my 200 mile limit quite a bit and turn boombox pickup into a photo-tour and mini-vacation . But, gas prices are 3x or 4x what they are in the USA, so that better be a killer boombox. Cost of pickup could easily exceed cost of boombox!

i did it only once for a cl bbx
i'm in so fla nr ft lauderdale,i drove up to melbourne that's about 150 miles one way,brought the kids to disney and stopped at the flea mkt in st cloud on the way back! We made a wknd out of it. I prob wouldn't do it again anytime soon again,though!

Some time ago I drove to Orlando for a local pickup. My boombox was waiting at a small shop that also sells on Ebay. If I could find this shop immediately it would have saved me the shipping money. However the place was impossible to find even after having called them several times ! Eventually I found it .As it turned out, the local pickup cost me more both in dollars and frustration.

Going the opposite way, I like winning from Skillphil . I can get there in 20 minutes most of which is getting to the highway by navigating the maze of streets in the messed up town I live in.....and Skil is anyway.

Funny you say that Ira, just on the border of Missouri/Arkansas there was a strip joint... looked way out place with all the bright lights a little desolate town surrounding it!

Needles to say, no stopping for me.... wife can smell when I think about another girl.. let alone the baby powder fresh breasts rubbing on me!!!

Got some nice boxes from Arkansas though! 7.5 hour drive round trip...

Visit the big flea at saturday, meet the Skopje restaurant and drive home with a couple of National Pana´s.
