I think the HONDA logo is´nt original.
But looks good on it.

Now you need an red motorcycle for perfection.

btw: seems this version of speakergrills was only avaiable on the MAGNAVOX cubic compo.
The look of the PHILIPS ones are different. :hmmm:

I'm with Monolithic, Red always looks great!

I bet the cassette deck needs a belt and I'm sure you could clean up the whole radio without any trouble. Believe it or not, I recently started using baby wipes to wipe radios down, followed with a micro fiber cloth. Works great.

(No I don't have a baby, I found a box of them in a zip lock bag under the house  :-/ )

WOW! I just got the same one here in Southern Oregon. Its the exact radio you have, with cassette recorder am/fm. It says "HONDA motorcycles MAGNAVOX", that i not a sticker, it is OEM.

Wanna know whats awesome about mine? Its brand new. I have the original box, instructions and there are zero scuffs scratches and everything works great. It even has the original packing material. The model is D 8260 and it is called the "Cubic Combo" by magnavox. The Magnavox website has no information and this was the only site I found on a google search with anything that was close at all. It has a 3 band equalizer and a "mic" and headphones plug in.

The date on the directions booklet says 1/86. Im guessing thats the date....

I wonder what thing thing is worth? I figure it was win/win, it looks amazing and I wouldnt mind just keeping it if it wasnt a valuable item. I might put it on ebay and see what happens.

I have tested it, the radio works both am and fm, but I do not own a tape (never have) to test the tape deck. The guy I bought it from said he had owned a Motorcycle store for years then went out of business. He does not remember when/how/who or anything reguarding the radio (bummer).

I am a first time poster and tried to include some pictures, I hope they worked! Thanks Dustin in Oregon

This is closest I have found.

:agree: the look is quite similar.
But the MAGNAVOX has only a mechanical tapedeck
The PHILIPS version a servo drive

I guess I will list it for sale. I like it a lot, and want it, just dont have a great need for it and I would hate to be the one to take it out of the box and use it after all those years. I have a nice CCrane radio that I listen to and maybe one of you collectors would want this BA radio.
