I guess I worded the original post wrong  .

I sniped the 838 in a seperate auction for $75 buy it now.

The 8989, 9990, 5080 were the 3 in another auction and he threw in the GE TV box/mini cassette and the D8300 box for free and only made me pay 1/2 of the final auction price. He said that the 9990 wouldn't power on, but a quick jiggle of the power cord fixed all that  and suprizingly everything works for the most part on all boxes but the TV box does nothing, and they are all FILTHY, DIRTY, NASTY, and need painting/restoration.

The Candle just happened to work out with an offer on ebay too.

I'm suprised he had all of these. I asked him where he finds them and he replied with "that's just what I do" .

One of the boomboxes that he gave me for free had a $12 thrift store price tag on it   .

I actually just picked up that GE/microcassette box at a flea market yesterday.......it's missing the microcassette deck though........ : :'-( But it does work, it just needs a little help. :-) Me wonders if it's even worth trying to track down the tape deck or should I just drop an mp3 player in there instead? On the plus, my (dead) Sony WM-10 walkman fits almost perfectly in the slot.....so I have that in there for show til I figure out what to do.....
oh, and the dang thing takes 12 D batts or a wall wart PSU.....no standard AC power cord here. Has line-in and a VU/tuning meter
