Hitachi 8290 & Crown 950.. A pair of my real Nice units!

Judging from the sound of my 3 Perdisco's and what I remember of the 950 I used to own, the Crown has better bass...
If that Hitachi 8290 sounds similar to my best sounding Perdisco, the TRK-8800RM, it has better highs than the 950.

Really? I must say I'm not too impressed with the bass of my 950... I feel it doesn't have a tight "kick" and it doesn't go all that loud.

Well, if you're "not too impressed with the bass" of your 950, you certainly won't be impressed with the bass of ANY of the big Hitachi boxes - BELIEVE THAT!!

The Crown looks dope but I want the 850
