I am in Woodside. I am not sure I would qualify as a true boombox collector. I only have two. The HK-9000Z and the WF-T380(BK). The only other ones I have had in my life were a Fisher and a Sanyo. I do not even remember the model number. The Sanyo came with a cassette tape which I think I might still have, but I remember it being warped.

hell owning an hk 9000 makes you a collector , nowadays most people would sell it as antique or throw it away , but we all know the value of it . so that kinda qualifies you as a collector. rock on!.

Haha! Just having this boombox puts me over the top! LOL! Well, I suppose that one can say that since I have more than one, then that's enough to make me an insane boombox collector. Now I just have an uncontrollable urge to buy an even bigger one. :) But IS THERE a bigger one than the one I have...? HMMmmmMMmmm......

I do not understand this. According to the service manuals in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6ufHbnVKNM

One of the models you mentioned (RX-A5) has a "Power Output of 30W (15Wx2)...RMS (max.)"

The other model you mentioned (RX-6400) has a "Maximum Power Output 30W (15 W x 2) RMS (at DC)"

The HK-9000Z has according to the manual and also the service manual for the HK-9000H(BK) and the HK-9000E(BK):

"Music power output: 2 x 26W/4 ohms (AC operation)
Continuous power output: 2 x 18W/4 ohms, at 10% T.H.D. (AC operation)"

The manual for the HK-9000Z also says:

"Peak music power output: 2 x 104W/4 ohms (AC operation)"

What the heck am I missing...?
