Help!! Slow cassette speed on magnavox d8443

Hello!
I’m restoring this craigslist found d8443. I’ve replaced the gear with a 3D printed one, I’ve adjusted the pot on the underside of the motor and the tape is still slow. Everything seems to turn freely, I’ve lubed the shafts, I don’t know what else to do. Any suggestions?

I presume you have replaced the rubber belts. If the old belts turned to licorice you may have to service or replace the motor.
