I walked my Clairtone 7985 home from the thrift store, about twenty blocks. Last fifteen blocks I couldn't stop peering down at the little handle, looking for cracks. I never realized what an abstract term "portable" could be.

Although not really in the heavy weight class, I carried my TRC 975 (w/batteries) a few blocks and was surprised how it catches up to you quick! Mid sized radios are WALKIN' radios!

I will weigh a JVC PC-55 and DC-7 and a PC-5 in the flight case for good measure.... :w00t:

OK, so what is the heaviest 1-piece box? (without record players or TV's, because those aren't fair). RX-7700 maybe?

I'll have to weight my GF-1000. It could be a contender for heaviest one-piece (it's noticeably heavier than a 777). :-)

and -- i never have seen one --but what about that humonguos black box with the
10 inch woofs ??
that ought to be the heaviest 1 piecer -- right ???

What, this? Yeah I guess that'd be the winner.........but Blasterpunk will have to tell us how much it weighs.
