Yeh relative rarity did add to me wanting this one and was why I pounced on it quick and paid a helluva lot more than my normally measly budget per box. It was a bonus that it was in cracking condition too...so this is another of my chosen few that will never leave me :)

Has anybody heard one of these beside an M90? I'd very interested in a comparison as I'm actively looking for a nice example of either at the moment. :hmmm:

Ha ha I can't stop thinking about it either lol...the first time I saw a picture of one I was smitten...then when I got its (very) little brother the 7900 that has very similar styling I knew I had to have one :-)

Only heard an M90 once at Docs last year so have no clue how they compare...not even had time to compare it with my M70 yet! But I'm loving this Sanyo as although it was expensive for me it wasn't any where near an M90 price.

I'm guessing most would reckon an M90 wins, and so it should based on its reputation and the prices they go for. The 920 has got to be close though and it is a million times better looking imo, and less common so wins overall in my book :-D ...but then I would say that as I have a 920 but no M90 lol :lol:

Sanyo has beautiful sound but M90 can out crank it out and sound great :thumbsup:

Cheers!...its not quite mint in person but its certainly up there in terms of condition, maybe a 8 or 9 out of 10?...the front fascia is definitely a 9 out of 10 at least :-D

Yes just a few wired clips that unplug and a few screws. Don't forget screws on top/bottom and front panel under volume knob ;-)

Thanks Bill, I've got the service manual to follow and it looked easy, just wanted to check whether it wasn't actually as easy as it looked...can do it with confidence now :)

Of course I've got to stop listening to it to strip it down...now that might be a problem lol ;)

Had hours of fun out of it yesterday just giving it a deep clean...doesn't even need to be booming, just staring at it is enough lol :lol: ...just sooooo purdy :drool:
