I belive I am the guy with the near mint m70 in Toronto that we have been talking about doing a trade. I agree with another member that said it best... the M70 is a box that I also play alot and the Prosonic for me will be one of those ... Ya I got one in my collection type of story. Anyhow I am looking forward to maybe completing this trade in the near Future after all I do own 3 M70s. Great info and opinions out here.

A Prosonic that's all-working and isn't all scratched up around the controls is a rare thing. Keep it. Or sell it, but demand $600 for it, lol.

The goldstar is one of the easiest boxes I ever seen to work on.

these are much better than the m70, the m70 sounds to flat imho

For a direct sound comparison I prefer the m70, especially after restoring sliders and cassette. There are always differences box to box of the exact same models depending on exposure and general use but in this case the m70 has better quality output.

The last time I met an M70, the price was good. Unfortunately, I hesitated. Someone bought it. It's only $100.
