Whats up everyone, as some of you know, Boomboxery member Max Poser aka (mmcodomino) was recently spotted in Montreal Canada with the one and only Gordie aka gsbadbmr. During his visit with Gordie, I got the chance to speak on the phone with Max for the 1st time since him and I sealed a deal for this bad boy back in March of this year. This OSAKA KS-35 discolite.

Anyhow, after our conversation, Max and I emailed back and forth and he mentioned that he would be coming to Southern California soon, so being that we don't have a big house with a guest bedroom, I offered my pop up tent trailer to him for a few nights, and he accepted the invitation to "Chateau SLO" I even set my JVC M70 in there for him to use whenever he wanted to.

Day 1...
He arrived in San Bernardino California on July 6th, where I picked him up in the "not so good" part of the city. Prostitutes galore :w00t: angry pimps, and gang bangers all over the bus station area, WELCOME TO CALIFORNIA MAX! So we got into my truck, punched the gas, and grabbed a few pizzas at a favorite place of mine near by, and of course, we ordered a few cold beers to wash it all down!

Day 2...
The next day, we met up with local California Boomboxery members ELDIRTYDINO (Stan) and Howie at a local sports bar called Heroes in Downtown Riverside, for the Germany vs France soccer game, more food, and more beer! After the game, we took it to the streets! We took some good pictures in Dowtown Riverside, Boomboxes in hand of course, and just hung out for a bit and blasted music, and shot the shiat while we waited for Dave to arrive. The night ended at Daves Man Cave later that night with what? Yes, you guessed it, more beer! And even more boomboxes. Heres some pics from the day.

Left to right, myself, Howie, Big Stan, Max.

Max last day of his stay with me and my wife consisted of a few beers in my garage in the early afternoon, while I washed my 82 Chevy El Camino for a cruise later on that night to my brother in-laws retirement party which happened to be in the neighborhood where I grew up in. Max got to meet my parents, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, neices, nephews and everyone else in between, Im sure it was overwhelming because he met EVERYONE. We ate, (again) drank, (again) and enjoyed the festivities including the dj and photo booth that was there. It was an ansolute pleasure meeting Max and having him as our guest even if it was just a few days.

I dropped Max off at Daves on Saturday morning, where bigger, badder adventures await him haha, to be continued.....

Its amazing how one single "boombox deal" can turn into a friendship. My 1st German friend haha. To me, thats worth more than ANY boombox. Cheers to Max, Germany and California united!

That's a great breakdown Steve of Max's stay with you. I was great hanging out with you guys in downtown Riverside. On Saturday afternoon I hung out with Max at Dave's house. They asked me to take my minty new c-100 and I did. Dave posted a video of me unboxing it on his Facebook page. Loved talking to Max about boomboxes and about life in Germany. Hope to see him in Vegas in September. 😊

Yeah, I don't think anybody even knew those existed!!!!

That box is the real deal!!! I'll let Max give his impartial assessment of its looks and how it sounds. I'm too biased!! I'm in love!!😍😘😍😘

Thanks Howie, glad you were able to make it out to hang with us!

@Eric...It was our pleasure to host a boomboxery guest, I think he enjoyed having his own personal space, especially after the stories he had from Las Vegas before he hit California!

So here's a little bit of my adventure with Max.SLO dropped him off at my house Saturday about 10 a.m.. We hung out in the Boom Room we also watch the documentary streets of Compton which got him pumped to actually go to Compton. We then went back out to the Boom Room chilled listen to more music and drink a hell of a lot of beer. I took him to In and Out to enjoy a grilled cheese sandwich and some animal style fries. (He is a vegetarian ) He met my family we all talk to him about life in Germany and life in general. He met my neighbor Reggie and my neighbor Rob he was excited to see my neighbor Reggie's 1979 Porsche 911. ( which as you know is a german-made car ) We then called it a night about 11:30 p.m. Saturday night. We had to be on the road by 9:30 a.m. to take him to Chris's house. We got on the road on time 9:30 a.m.. I took him to the Puente Hills Mall where they filmed Back to the Future which I did not know was one of his favorite movies . He was so excited to see the spot where they filmed part of the movie. From there we went to Rose Hills took him to Eazy-E grave site. Then we are off to Compton we cruised down some of the hardest streets in Compton then off to Compton City Hall which he really wanted to see the big letters that spelled out Compton. He told me about a group from Germany that took a picture in the C so I helped him climb the C and took a picture of him . From there we went to Watts Towers .Then we went to Downtown LA cruising down 3rd Street and 4th Street which are sort of the heart of downtown LA. From there we drove to Hollywood took him down Hollywood Boulevard to the Hollywood sign. Well as close as we can get to it. Then a cruise through Beverly Hills and Bel Air. From there we went down Sunset Boulevard to PCH off to Chris's house. For the rest of the adventure I think he had a great time. We drove approximately 350 miles a total of 12 hours it was a long day.. Hope you had fun Max....

Fantastic! Max is on his world tour. Too bad Max couldn't check out El Segundo, Olvera Street and East L.A. What You Vatos did for hermano Maximo is what makes our familia here on Boomboxery so awesome. Bringing Us all together is priceless. Like Air B&B - but with Boomboxes. Way to go Brothers!

Thanks Adam, it was our pleasure to host for him, I mean, how often do we get a guy all the way from Berlin visiting with us? NEVER LOL, so it was pretty dam cool. Theres so much to see out here, I would have liked to take him sight seeing a little more, but I was only off from work for 3 days :-/

But the good thing is that he got a little taste of Southern California from all of us. As of now, he's with Chris for a few days, so more to adventures to come.
