A few months ago my friend gave me this VCR - LG LH-C6231:

It is in good technical condition, but there are scratches on the top cover.
To use it, I also needed set of speakers that I didn't have.
That's why I had put it aside and not used it.
I recently saw a video on YouTube that impressed me:

I decided that I could do the same with my VCR.
I took off the top cover. I cut the holes and painted the cover.
I don't have a 3D printer, so I didn't put a frame.
I attached the plexiglass glass directly with nice screws.
I refused to put LED lighting because it can have an effect
of the light sensors for the beginning and end of the tape.
I also added a small telescopic antenna to make the FM tuner work better.
Here are some photos of the finished project:

This is another reason to find the old videotapes
and watching again the films recorded on them.
And soon I will take pictures of my videotapes.

I didn't realise this was custom (going blind) superb work

Thanks. As i say before, i was I impressed by one youtube video and decided to do the same with my VCR.

The old betamax videos have a window through which you can see the movements of the reels, similar to cassette players:

Some expensive models have a transparent cover (only for demonstration of fair/exhibitions) to see the elements and modules of which it is composed:

I visited a friend last week. He had done house cleaning and gave me this video Panasonic NV-HS800.
It is in good condition for its age. The good thing is that there is
a stereo indicator and level control and I can use it with other HI-FI equipment.

DENON DN-S1200 - DJ Player. Ideal for playback mp3 files from usb memory.
Samsung HT DS490 - Home cinema with 5.1 speakers. For listening music from different sources.

on the right side:
Panasonic DVDS295 - For playback MP3-CD's.
Technics Deck RS-BH404 - For recording cassettes from different sources.
JVC XL-V550 - Classic CD player. For playback CD's.

I have many sources, but only 2 audio inputs on Samsung HT DS490.
I buy this passive mini stereo audio mixer to connect different sources.

It is very nice when you receive your birthday present a few months in advance.
You can receive a second gift.
That's exactly how I got this Numark dj mixer, which fit my two Denon dj players.
I had to rearrange my hi-fi system and put a movable shelf.
When I do not use the system, the shelf is retracted.
When I want to listen to music and be a dj,
I pull out the shelf and have access to the players and mixer.
It is very good that I can recording these mixes on audio cassettes.

Big update in my mini Hi-Fi system in this 2021,
was Pioneer deck and DJ set: Numark mixer and two Denon players.
I'm very happy with this new set, make some nice mixes
and I've already recorded a few audio tapes.

This summer I managed to add a variety of things to my collection.
Now I will show you some of them.
Here, for example, is this old SONY betamax SL-C5E.
It needs complete restoration.
I don't have betamax cassettes, so I gave it to a friend who wants to fix it.
