With Melly and Chris on this 10000%

I've paid four figures plus for some of my radios. Doesn't bother me, money comes and goes. But blasters you really desire may turn up once in many years.

The situation differs for everyone though, whether you pay top or bottom dollar doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, I think we should all agree the enjoyment our boomboxes and this hobby brings us is something no dollar amount can be really placed on.

That's all cool and very relative to your finances and sitution, we all have to find our comfort zone. For me spending $699 on a box that not only wasn't mint but needed repairs made me feel kind of lousy for a bit so it was easy to figure out that I was out of my comfort zone. After all these years of collecting I think my comfort zone is around $300 on down and I will only spend that on boxes I have a high desire for.

When we have to significantly sacrifice other areas of our lives to make these purchases I think it loses some of it's luster. :hmmm:
