For Very Small Ghettos........

lots of us have these -
and/or see dozens for sale every day--

we dont know what to call them ?
surely not minis
surely not middies

these old classics are often very $$ good deals-
they are gentle on batteries
easy to carry
often are 'full featured'
some are great lookers
ALL the ones i have --are decent sounding --
some are great for their size

they are never 'grails'...
none can take the trophies in the mid-size sound offs...
rarely can they attract the noise ordinance police.

but --they are FUN to hear and to collect-
and the styles and quantities available are endless

from now on --im calling them all "sub-mids"
of " mini-middies "

or - at least --they deserve some category of their own -- right !! ??

I have that GE on the bottom......It has an INCREDIBLE number of features, and inputs/ouputs, for such a small box.

It is almost like it is trying to be a mini-M9998.

And the tape door opens with a nice CLACK

In fact I have TWO of them......And they appear to have different woofers........One puts out HUGE amount of warm bass for its size........The other puts out very little.

I looked inside, and the part # printed on the magnets are different.......So either GE made a change during production, or someone modded it.
