those wx1 woofers are the same size as the aiwa cs 880 woofers and use the same foams , i did re foam a pair of wx1 woofers before so it's no problem for me

That's cool Floyd-I might just take you up on that as my surrounds are bad & my woofers are original!!

i would fix the original drivers i can tell you the box will sound much better than changing the speakers to new ones ,that's not always the case but with boxes like the wx1 and the cs 880 ,a lot of the sound quality depends on using very specific speakers .
