Flash it quick and say you're taking photos of possible stolen goods.

That's hilarious!!!!!

But all you need to do is shoot wide angle without looking at the back of camera. Let the camera dangle, use manual focus and small aperture.

Easy problem to fix. I do that kind of thing with my DSLR all the time.

Video would probably work better
as taking one good shot without a viewfinder
is quite difficult.

thats right --
carry a little vid-cam -- set if on wide angle --
so you cant miss !!!
everything will be in focus -
and - if you get a $$ decent model-
the hi-rez will be clear enough for you to make the stills

For example "worldwide boombox rescue"

Just used such one a time ago with the s2go logo.
But if i come to an interesting box,it would double the price...

I have one, 75mm LCD screen, fits in my jeans pocket.

Would be an good idea, but on other locations.
Can you imagine how many peoples on flea?
Some boxes on the floor, so you would need to be 3meters tall, to see over the other peoples.
